I am a psychologist conducting individual and family psychotherapy and maintain a private practice in Eddyville, Kentucky.
With over 11 years experience as a clinical psychologist, and as a graduate of Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Missouri; I am currently serving as private practitioner who uses an individualized therapy approach with a broad spectrum of clients. My training at Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois, began with strong influence from a Rogerian trained clinician. As I continued my training in graduate school, I was influenced by psychodynamic and cognitive/behavioral approaches to psychology. During my time working as a generalist in clinical psychology at a Community Mental Health Center, I was able to complete specialized training in EMDR. Recently, I have worked in Nursing Facilities and private practice. Currently, I am taking further education in Medical Psychology to address medical interactions with mental health concerns and mental health medication.
I am trained and experienced in doing one-on-one and family therapy with children, adolescents, and adults (3 years old and over). I hold these qualifications:
_ I have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, MO, whose program is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA).
_ I completed an internship in clinical psychology, approved by the APPIC.
_ I am licensed as a psychologist in Kentucky, Illinois, and Tennessee.
_ I am a member of the APA.
_ I am a member of EMDRIA.
_ I have a certificate in Psychology of Religion from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology's Psychology of Religion Program.
_ I have completed the 2 part Basic Training in EMDR from the EMDR Institute, owned and overseen by the creator of EMDR, Francine Shapiro, Ph.D. with additional continuing education from
